Classic Fitness Schnitzel
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken breast
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- ground black pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- ½ cup oat flour or grind oats
- 100 gr panko breadcrumbs
- 1 lemon, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit (200~celsius).
- Grind the oats to create oat flour or use oat flour.
- Add the garlic, salt, pepper, mustard and eggs into a bowl and mix.
- Finely coat a flat plate with Panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat another plate with the oat flour.
- Coat the chicken with the oat flour and set aside.
- Put each chicken piece into the egg mixture.
- Take the chicken and coat it with the panko breadcrumbs.
- Place the chicken breast onto an oven tray covered with backing paper. Do the same process with all slices of chicken breasts.
- Place into the oven for 5 minutes, turn over for 5 more minutes
- To get a brownish look, set the oven to grill mode for 3 more minutes.
- Take out the schnitzel and serve. Garnish with lemon which can also be squeezed above
