Chili Con Carne

- 1 kg ground lean beef
- 1 red bell pepper
- ½ red onion
- 1 spicy green pepper
- 300 gr boiled black turtle beans
- 300 gr kidney beans
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3.5 cups crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 cups water
- salt, to taste
Put the beans in water, in the fridge overnight.
Chop the red bell pepper, spicy pepper and onion.
Cook the black and red beans in water over the stove for 40 minutes.
Remove beans from stove and drain from water.
Heat the olive oil in a pan. Cook the beef until greyish/brownish from all sides.
Add all the ingredients, including the beans, to the beef and stir.
Cook on a medium heat and onces reaches boiling point, lower and simmer for 40 minutes.
Add salt, to taste
